Join Motion’s Linda Norton and the Parkwood Institute’s Seating and Wheelchair teams for an interactive, full-day workshop to bridge the gap between disciplines in relation to pressure injury prevention. Through a combination of case-based learning, hands-on experiences, and interdisciplinary dialogue, participants will develop a shared understanding of how forces such as pressure, friction, and shear act on the body — and how evidence-based seating, mobility, and wound management practices can work together to reduce harm.
Participants will engage in experiential labs to feel the difference between pressure distribution andoffloading, learn how to identify early signs of skin compromise in all skin tones, and collaborate on real-worldproblem-solving scenarios that cross traditional professional boundaries.
Motion is an IACET accredited provider of CEUs. This workshop is eligible for 0.7 accredited CEUs. For more information about CEUs and how to obtain them, please email learning@motioncares.ca.
